UK MHRA’s new and high­er charges for med­ical devices

The UK Med­i­cines and Health­care prod­ucts Reg­u­la­to­ry Agency (MHRA) has pub­lished a new scale of charges applic­a­ble across all its ser­vices, includ­ing med­ical devices, valid from 1 April this year. 

The updat­ed sched­ule includes new fees for cer­tain med­ical device ser­vices, and a sub­stan­tial increase in charges for cer­tain exist­ing ser­vices. The device reg­is­tra­tion fee will be increased by a  mas­sive 140% to £240 or $295. 

Some new fees, for exam­ple, In Vit­ro Diag­nos­tic Per­for­mance Report, have been postponed.
