Euro­pean Com­mis­sion pub­lish­es tem­plate for sum­ma­ry of train­ing data

To ful­fil new trans­paren­cy require­ments under the AI Act, the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion on 24 July 2025 pub­lished a pub­lic sum­ma­ry tem­plate for gen­er­al-pur­pose AI (GPAI) mod­el providers. 

GPAI models—trained on mas­sive, diverse datasets—have so far offered lit­tle insight into their train­ing con­tent. The tem­plate offers a uni­form, easy-to-use for­mat to dis­close data ori­gins, major col­lec­tions, and pro­cess­ing meth­ods aim­ing to sup­port pub­lic trust and legal clarity.

It com­ple­ments the Code of Prac­tice and the 2 August 2025 start of GPAI rules. Fur­ther details can be found here.
