BfArM informs about damages to hip implants caused by high-frequency cauterizing instruments
BfArM, the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices, has issued a recommendation in connection with high-frequency cauterizing instruments and certain hip implants. More specifically, hip stem prostheses made of titanium alloy were damaged when these instruments were used.
Concerned manufacturers are advised to review the report and the corresponding literature under on the BfArM website.
